Brandon Smith-Ziph LNHA


Brandon feels privileged to belong to the committed and caring Centers team and has dedicated herself to making the facility the leading service provider in the region. She is CNA-certified by Kansas City Area Vocational Technical School. She is certified as a Social Services Designee by Kansas City Kansas Community College, where she also completed the Administrator-in-Training-Program and earned an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science. She is certified for Assisted Living by Washburn University and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner by the National Alzheimer’s Association. She also earned a Bachelor of Science/Human Services and a Master of Art/Psychology from the University of Saint Mary.

Mary Barnett

Certified Dietary Manager

With her certification as a Dietary Manager from North Dakota University, Mary makes sure that every Resident gets a nutritional meal. She also sees to it that they all receive the care they deserve, whether it concerns their diet or other day-to-day issues.

Ardell Hensley

MDS Coordinator

Ardell received her RN, LPN, CMA, CNA, and HHA certifications from Neosho County Community College. She has a diploma in Surgical Technology from Wright Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Management from Devry Institute of Technology. She loves helping the Residents—not just with their insurance, but by doing whatever she can to pitch in.

Tim Nesbitter

Maintenance Director

A native of Kansas, Tim enjoys working with the Residents, talking and joking with them. He hopes to make their day, knowing that they always make his.

Sherri Palmer

Business Office Manager

A graduate of Washburn University, Sherri enjoys interacting with Residents every day. She is always available to help them if they have issues or questions relating to their finances, Medicaid or Social Security.

Kirsten Phillips

Director of Rehab

Kirsten attended Washburn University and the University of Kansas Medical School. She has a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy and is committed to turning her rehab team into the best in the state.

Desiree Johnson

Director of Nursing

Deseree attended Pratt Community College. She loves her team at the Center, saying they are “passionate, caring, hardworking, and friendly.” She wouldn’t want to work anywhere else.

Zinaia Armstead

Director of Social Services

Zinaia studied at Washburn University, has an Associate’s and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services. She also has a Master’s Degree in Social Work with an emphasis on Clinical Behavioral Health. She is intricately involved in all aspects of the Residents’ mental health, well-being, and day-to-day care.

Emily Wittenbach

Director of Human Resources

Emily has a Bachelor of Arts, Art History, from Washburn University. She has also earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources and Organizational Leadership, and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management, from Rasmussen University. She is thankful for the opportunity to make a difference in the Residents’ lives.
